ABC Radio
Handbooks

The Australian Broadcasting Corporation's Radio branch commissioned these books (the first 2 in a series of 5) to train new talk radio broadcasters on a variety of subjects.

Printed in two colours, I designed the books to be clear and concise while exploring elements that make textbooks visually interesting to their readers.

The heirarchy of information was constructed using colour, typography, and small graphic elements that indicated changes in sections or beginnings of exercises.

The typographic illustrations were created using pieces of Helvetica Neue and Didot; their construction was a play on 'the ABCs' and building upon readers' knowledge in radio.
